6.1 client - 5.5 server

Hi all...

My first post as a new member ...I'm just rolling out TSM for first time, have couple of site on 5.5 and attempted on on 6.1 with a few issues.

Doesn't anyone know if you can run 5.5 server with the 6.1 client?

I run a few tsm 6.1 clients on w2003 and AIX with TSM5.4 server and have no problems. Should be no problem with 5.5.

Nearly all of my clients are 6.1 and server is 5.5. I have not loaded the new TDPO or Exchange client.

Thanks for info - is there any functionality benifit to running 6.1 at the client even with 5.5 server?

The client seems cleaner. I have not noticed any performance benefits on the standard clients.

The MS-EXCH TDP should allow item level recovery even with a 5.5 server, although I've not personally tried it yet. I'd like to know if anyone has...
