5.3.4 client, web prompts for password

since upgrading clients (windows 2/k and 2003) to 5.3.4 when i log onto the webclient via webadmin (webadmin, log on as admin....clients .....lightning bolt) it now prompts for a password for the client when i click on backup, restore etc. the 5.2 clients did not do this nor do they now.

server version is tsm 5.2.9



does anyone know what is causing this

From your description it seems that you may need to update the password for the admin user that gets register when the node is registered. The admin name is same as the nodename. So, assuming your nodename is 'WINNODE' do the following.



dsmadmc> q admin WINNODE



It will show you the info about the admin id for this node. Upfate the password of this admin node using 'update admin' command.
