Hi,

Another question here,

Are there any issues if I have 2 nodes on the SAME client server, with each node using its own opt file and backing up to 2 different TSM servers?

i.e.:

ClientServer1 contains NodeA and NodeB
NodeA has its own dsmA.opt file, backs up to TSMServerA
NodeB has its own dsmB.opt file, backs up to TSMServerB

Weird, I know but any performance issues here, in terms of process/service clashing, etc?

Thanks!

Not weird at all - but rather useful and quite common and it usually works without any problems. Just make sure you don't schedule backups for the same time to avoid performance and general resource problems (RAM, network bandwidth etc.)

Any problems if say I have 2 different sets of services?

As I understand that each schedule access the process files when they're running (i.e. dsmcad.exe, dsmsvc.exe, dsmagent.exe)

CAD-Node1 would be accessing dsmcad.exe while started, and so will CAD-Node2.

Would there be any issues if both nodes were accessing the same dsmcad.exe?

Thanks

Nope. You may run it unlimited. Just make sure the services carry different names and adress different option files. The wizard should help. Its been some time since I last used it - but I believe the menu item is called something like "help me installing an aditional scheduler service" or something like that.
