Hi.

Server version 5.3.5.0 on AIX 5.3. TSM client version the same.

Did anybody experienced successful LAN retrieve with a file skipped?

I ran
Code:
dsmc retrieve -preservepath=none -replace=all -des="description" /fs1/oracle/DB1/ /fs2/oracle/DB2/
with return code=0. Nor warning neither error message. At the end all but 1 file were retrieved. Actually, the file was 1. in alphabetical order in that directory. Repeated retrieve ran OK, included also that skipped file.

There were no problems with backup. 36 database files were in the dir.

LAN retrieve with ENABLELANFREE defined

Hi.

I did resolve a possible reason of this to happen.
We have ENABLELANFREE YES defined in servername stance, while we make LAN retrieve actually. This is because no PATHs are defined for storageagent. Node is permitted to do both LAN and LAN-Free backup/restore operations. Thus TSM choises LAN.

So I commented out ENABLELANFREE. Retrieve is OK since then.
