Hello,
I recently installed a Protectier TS7650G (2 node cluster with 3 v7000s on the backend). The throughput performance has been great.. 1200-1500MB/s. However, it tends to follow a pattern of pushing a lot of data then all of the sudden it drops off to next to nothing for about 60 seconds, then it ramps right back up to great throughput. I attached a screenshot where you can see the streams stay consistent but the throughput goes up and down.
I wanted to see if anyone else has seen this behavior in a Protectier. I haven't come up with any good theories as to why it would be happening.
By the way, the PT is bring used as primary storage in our TSM v6.3.4 server. We are migrating data from our old VTL right now.
Thanks for any insights!
Joe
