No! No! No! No!
Two different products:
- TSM Server 7.1.1.300 - that's the software that stores your backup data
- TSM Operation Center 7.1.1.200 - that's the software you use to administer the TSM Server
In addition, you have:
- TSM Administration Center 6.3.5.x - that's another software you can use to administer the TSM Server
- TSM Administrative Command line (any version) - command line tool to administer TSM Server
So, right now you were looking to upgrade the Operation Center from 7.1.0.0 to 7.1.1.200 to get some of the additional features added.
You can upgrade the TSM Server too if you want, but that's unrelated to obtaining more features in the Operation Center.
Sorry, but I wasn't sure if you knew because you were on the Server download page and was talking about installing 7.1.1.200 over 7.1.1.300. I just wanted to be sure you knew.
The AC and OC are two distinct products that work independently from each other, so as far as administrative interfaces are concerned, you can have all them installed, and switch back and forth between any of them depending on what best suits your preferences and needs at that time.
Yes.im talking about OC - im can install the new version 7.1.200 of OC over the actual 7.1.0?
Yes.
Did you install the OC on the same machine as the TSM Server?
Is the TSM Server up and running?
""' To use the selected hub server, you must upgrade to Tivoli Storage Manager version 7.1.1 or later."""
Oh you need to this:
What version is your TSM Server? If not 7.1.1 or later, you will need to upgrade it too before using the OC.

You can install the ISC/Admin Center on the same system as the Operations Center, but it is not suggested due to performance considerations.
The Tivoli Storage Manager Operations Center product component can be installed and share the same machine with the Tivoli Storage Manager Administration Center.
If Tivoli Common Reporting and Tivoli Monitoring for Tivoli Storage Manager are also going to be used, it is recommended but not mandatory to use a separate system.
Silas is right. They can co-exist, but there is a risk of performance degradation. This is true for any application though, the more applications you run, the more the performance can be impacted.
You can also use TSM's Reporting and Monitoring if you are looking for a reporting solution:
