My two cents in addition to Ed's procedure since you may have NICs (on master & media) in both networks.
 
- Make an entry in DNS for the IP of the NIC you're going to use for backups. Call it something like servername-nbu.
- Put REQUIRED_INTERFACE = servername-nbu in the client's bp.conf. This way you'll force NetBackup to send backup traffic on the NIC you want to use.
 
Consider example 2 on page 58 of NetBackup for Unix Admin Guide Volume II if you have an interface on the NetBackup server connecting to the backup network.
