BackupExec released a device driver for this library on 2/26/2007, did you 
install it?

I haven't worked with BE since 10d, but IF Be's drivers don't support the 
device, then you MIGHT be able to get by with manufacturer / Microsoft drivers, 
but I'd download that patch above (or the updated version) and install that 
first.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Backup Exec 11d with IBM 33614LX Tape Library




I seem to be having a bit of a problem getting Backup Exec 11d to see my IBM 
33614LX Robotic Library.  We only have one drive in the unit.  I am unable to 
give the Robot a separate ID from the Tape drive.  Every time I change the 
drive ID, the host/robot ID changes with it.  Currently my tape drive is ID 5 
LUN 0 and the robot is ID 5, LUN 1.   Backup Exec is not seeing the ID5, LUN 1  
Any ideas on how to make these two play nice together?  Any ideas as to how to 
give the robot a separate ID from the tape drive?
