the tape you need :-)

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Catalog question
Hello,
Our environment consists of HP-UX netbackup server running on NB 5.1 MP 3 -
Acts both as master and media server.
Catalog backups are configured to backup on 2 removable media -i.e media1
and media2:
Found the following in the NBU manual :
The Media 1 and Media 2 Areas setting specifies the media to use for the
catalog backups.
You do not have to assign both Media 1 and Media 2. If you do assign both,
NetBackup
alternates between the media.
Does it mean that if I had to recover my catalog for DR, Can I use any one
of the 2 tapes OR Do I need to recover the catalog from both the tapes?
I am confused. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,
Smitha
