Hi Marek,
I was trying to configure VxSS-4.1.2.5 on a Solaris-9 box for NetBackup 5.1
Master and hitting similar error to what you have encountered.

# bpnbaz -setupsecurity sun
Please enter the login information for the first Security Administrator other
than root/Administrator. This identity will be added to the security
administrators group (NBU_Security Admin), and to the netbackup administrators
group (NBU_Admin). It will also be used to build the initial
security information.
Authentication Broker: sun
Authentication port[ Enter = default]:
Authentication type (NIS, NIS+, NT, vx, unixpwd: unixpwd
Domain: NBU_Machines@sun
Login Name: nbadmin
Password:
Processing - please be patient
Unexpected error 55 occurred.
