 It sounds like most admins are unix?
To Stop retry then double click on the schedule and select -
"no retries after run day" allow will allow 5 , 6 more attempts to run
after run day - in Windows it says this - unix GUI probably not - so do not
allow retries after runday - the attempts will work for or against -

Start the backup from the client. It will only run once, sucessfull or
not.

Ok. I have been requested by one of our DBA folks to not retry a backup
for a DB where the backup has failed the first time through. The retry
setting is global so I cannot turn it off that way. Does anyone have any
ideas on how I can have Netback not to retry a failed backup?
