Yep ... I ran .'lsattr -El rmt0' and it says my block size is 0 like in your
example.

Mike, is the block size set to 0? 

AIX tends to set the block_size to 512 by default when the tape drive is
found by cfgmgr.

I'm moving to a new AIX box (IBM p650) ... from a different AIX box.  I've
installed DataCenter 4.6 and had 4.5 running on the old server.  I'm
attempting to recover the catalog using the bprecover command but I got the
error "tar received an invalid archive".  I've already run the bprecover -l
to list what's on the tape so it recognizes it properly. 
  
Anyone seen this before?  Or does anyone have any better suggestions to move
my catalog from the old netbackup server my new one?  Both servers have the
same name by the way.
