Hi,
the first file is a tape label, every other files are backups. NBU uses a
modified gnu tar (1.09). You can read non multiplexed backups with gtar. For
multiplexed backups you can e.g. look for unbtar from computer associates
http://support.ca.com/ca_common_docs/veritas_tape_reader.html .
Detailed information how to restore a tape with tar can be found on
www.backupcentral.com (Netbackup Faq-O-Matic).
