Subject: [Veritas-bu] After upgrading the SQL module to 4.5 - Problem
backing up the da tabases.....
Hi,
I had my SQL module running perfectly on 3.4
After upgrading the server and the client (NetBackup client not the sql
module) the backups started failing with status 2.
I remembered I didn't upgrade the sql module so I upgraded it as well and I
thought it will solve the problem.
Now, if I run the backup script manually from the client all go well.
If I run it from a schedule or manually from the backup server, which should
tell the client what command to launch....
I get the error 2 and what I get in the log is :
2:47:19 [2528,568] <32> CDSNaccess::LookUpInstance: ERR - Error in
RegOpenKeyEx, opening <SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\NetBackup> key: 2. The text
follows:
12:47:19 [2528,568] CONTINUATION: - The system cannot find the file
specified.
12:47:19 [2528,568] <4> CDBbackmain::dbbackup: INF - Results of executing
<c:\Program Files\VERITAS\NetBackup\dbext\MSSQL\netbackup2.bch>:
<0> operations succeeded. <0> operations failed.
Anyone have any idea what went wrong?
Thanks,
Boaz.
