 first step would be to raise the log level and create the
appropriate logs. check the manual, Troubleshooting section:

 VPATH\NetBackup\Logs\dbbackup
 VPATH\NetBackup\Logs\bphdb
 VPATH\NetBackup\Logs\dbclient
