This doesn't help me much since I work for a Veritas reseller in the
Professional Services group.  As a result, I am an extension of Veritas
consulting, and need to learn how to do this.

Both methods (BLIB and extensions) put load on the primary database
server.  TimeFinder and ShadowImage offload the burden to the array and
secondary backup host.

I agree, but when performance is the governing factor, customers go for
image copy techniques.
