[Veritas-bu] Backup through firewall
2000-12-04 13:27:13
We've configured our firewalls to allow NB3.4 to function through them.
Indeed, on occasion,
the backups even work! However, about 75% of the time the backup aborts with
an error #50
(client process aborted). When this happens, the only real indicator is the
bpbkar log on the
client side which reads:
00:15:08 [18818] <4> bpbkar PrintFile: /home/scclid/CL000875.052
00:15:49 [18818] <16> flush_archive(): ERR - Cannot write to STDOUT. Errno =
70: Cannot reach the destination network.
00:15:49 [18818] <16> bpbkar Exit: ERR - bpbkar FATAL exit status = 24:
socket write failed
00:15:49 [18818] <4> bpbkar Exit: INF - EXIT STATUS 24: socket write failed
00:15:55 [18818] <8> bpbkar Exit: WRN - Error closing stdout
This is usually after 500 or so files have been written. This is on an AIX
4.3 system. Are
there any obvious troubleshooting options I'm missing here?
