I was same boat too. If i understand right. Oracle offer only support
for existing customers sitation as is. So you can't purchase new
licenses and support ended to version 7.6. We must convert all our
EBS-licenses to equivalent EMC-licenses.
You don't need update-enebler licenses any more, but you need new
licenses/enablers for version 7.6 and have 45 days time period for that.
We used our EBS-licenses with Linux without problems with EMC's
binaries. Only different thing were host-id which Solaris have had rom
and Linux generated from eth0
ip-address<http://ilmainensanakirja.fi/sanakirja_suomi-englanti/vastaava>.
Now we used EMC-licenses at RedHat 5.8 with 7.6.3.1 and our Oracle's
EBS-licenses were trashed.
