[Networker] SL500 tape library issues

I am pretty sure that NW 7.4 did not support LTO5 yet - that's why this device
type is missing.
Before i do anything else, i would update the SW (of course you need an update
enabler). Otherwise you will never be able to write a LTO5 tape to it max.
capacity (probably you will even have a problem using the media 'as LTO4 media'
anyway.
AFAIK, mixed media is not allowed in the same NW jukebox at all. One of the
major reason is that for reading any device can be choosen - this is obviously
the effect you see. If you really want to continue, you must add additional SW
(Alphastor) and create 2 logical/virtual jukeboxes. This of course costs extra
money.
I can not explain the authentication issue but i would not even try to check
this out befor i would have updated NW first.
