w2k8R2-64bit with networker client 7.5.2 backs up fine to a Networker 7.6
server.
So no need to downgrade server from 7.6 (wish they would stop all those
different versions soon)

And it would appear as if the drive letter mapping in w2k8 is also no
longer needed. :)

Nice i can move 7.5.2 to my w2k8 clients :)

I talked with support, they said that I could just install the 7.5.2 on
the client and it will support R2. I was under the impression that the
server/storage node that backed up the actual client had to be running
7.5.2 also.

It should, support started in 7.5.2 for server, client, and storage
node.

EMC recommends the storage node and backup server be at same version.

Hi all,

I know 7.6 doesn't support R2, which is what I'm on. But if I build a
7.5.2 storage node would I be able to backup Windows 2008 R2 clients
with it if the networker server is still 7.6?
