[Networker] Oracle RAC Cluster
2005-09-16 06:54:41
Hi
Can anybody tell me how they are backing up Oracle Rac Clusters where there
is no logical ipaddress to tie in both physical nodes. Application users are
using the local tns to connect so hence if 1 side of the cluster goes down
tns handles this for the user. This of course is no good for Legato backup
and the only way I can see around this without getting Microsoft Cluster /
Legato cluster license is to have 2 backups running at separate times on
each physical node.
Also any ideas on the above as it may also be an active / active cluster
Setup is 2 * win2003 clients, Legato 7.1.3 and oracle 9i backing up to
Solaris 9 server with Legato 7.1.3 ...this is also running over a firewall
Thanks Mary
