Yeah I know I am working a number of issues, hoping I get a couple done
before we go to far into tweaking but...

Was on the phone with an OUTSTANDING Legato Tech Support rep; he was
from Ontario but you know what (USA/Americanism switch ON) that's ok
because he was dang good!

I whined to the US EMC office that the Canadians were too sensitive (I
typed BS - the letters not the words - in an email and they said they
would not service me if I did not retract and promise not to use those
letters again) but at the same time I have to tell you they are very
good at what they do.

Anyway on to my news:

Running Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003 Enterprise using Networker 7.3 for
windows. On an HP ML350 using an ADIC SCALAR 100 w/drives in it.

Parallelism was set to 4 and the Legato guy made this big deal out of
raising it to 5, then he did something I was unaware of (undocumented
feature?)

He changed my SAVESET on my MB backups from: MSEXCH:MB to:

MSEXCH:MB/A*
MSEXCH:MB/B*
MSEXCH:MB/C*
MSEXCH:MB/D*
MSEXCH:MB/E*
MSEXCH:MB/F*
MSEXCH:MB/G*
MSEXCH:MB/H*
MSEXCH:MB/I*
MSEXCH:MB/J*
MSEXCH:MB/K*
MSEXCH:MB/L*
MSEXCH:MB/M*
MSEXCH:MB/N*
MSEXCH:MB/O*
MSEXCH:MB/P*
MSEXCH:MB/Q*
MSEXCH:MB/R*
MSEXCH:MB/S*
MSEXCH:MB/T*
MSEXCH:MB/U*
MSEXCH:MB/V*
MSEXCH:MB/W*
MSEXCH:MB/X*
MSEXCH:MB/Y*
MSEXCH:MB/Z*

My backups went from 24-25 hours down to 5 hours flat!

Rock ON! Much better!
