This is a common problem with NRM.

The "data read error C:\WINNT\SCHCACHE" is the Schema cache folder.
The exclusion of this folder will not prevent you booting the server
with the NRM created CD.
When you boot from the created CDRom and connect to the NetWorker server
this "Schema cache folder" is recovered within the system state.

To avoid the failure of creation of the MOS image. Add an exclusion for
this folder in the blacklst.lst file.

Kind Regards

Richard

P.S. I have found you have to exclude a few files on different OS
installs.
Still able to boot and connect to the networker server.

Subject: [Networker] Recovery manager problem

Hi everyone,
I had several problems with an DRM installation.
The first problem raised on an Exchange server, Win2k sp3, Networker
client.
My Networker server is a COMPAQ Proliant DL 380 Win2k Sp3, NW 6.1.3,
License manager installed and configured with two "1 Client DRM"
licenses
installed.
After a succesfull installation and registration of DRM I proudly tried
to
create my first MOS image.
That's the result (drmtrage.log file):
************************************************************************

Has anyone seen that?
I went trought Legato knowledge base, but it hasn't been of much help.

Second problem:
I created an MOS image of my backup server, drmtrace.log told me that
the
image was OK. I did a Recovery exercise with a mirror of new disks, the
Image was completely installed and I did my first reboot: my server
keeps
rebooting. :-(
Third problem:
I created a new image, slightly different (2 MB bigger than the first),
drmtrace didn't complain. The MOS installation went fine, the wizard
started, I enetered the bootstrap information, my server recovered media
db
and client indexes. The Manual tells that at this point the Networker
User
program should start...... It SHOULD, but it did'nt. Looking in Task
manager the DR wizard was "not responding". I run manually networker
user
and it went fine.

Hhhhmmm, to me it seems that Recovery Manager is still too young.
What's your opinion?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
