Hi Levi,

It would be similar steps to preparing a DR center.
The last time, I used below steps:

On the DR site
- up the backup server (in my case, same hostname)
- configure networker (client, schedule, autochanger etc)
- copy over the mm and index.
- request a standby backup server license (because hostid change)
Then your backup server is up and running.
When the needs come, just import you tape and recover the data.

But if you can't copy over the mm and index, then use mmrecov to get it.

Cheers - han

system

My company is located in the middle east and because of the current
threats, managers are preparing another site in Europe to be a backup
site , just in case.

Our current backup system is Networker 6.1.1/Solaris 8/LTO Drives. The
backup site is also the same but different hostnames.

Any body knew a URL/document that describe in details how to restore our
data into the backup site--"the fastest possible way"? Given that the
indices are located on the tapes and hostnames are different.

Will appreciate any input.
