Hi, All

I keep getting a situation where Networker hangs up waiting for a
writeable volume. when I look at the listing of volumes in the GUI I see
a bunch of tapes at are marked recyclable but they also show in the
volume serial field as NNNNNN(R) where the "(R)" apparently means
read-only. is it just me or does this combination not make any sense. I
certainly don't get it. to get things moving again I have to re-label
the tape with "nsrjb -L -Sxxx -b "Default" NNNNNN". after that I can
mount the tape and things start moving again. can somebody please
explain to me what I'm doing wrong here. I have Networker 6.0 on AIX
4.3.3 with an STK 9710 library.
TIA
