There's no (sane) way to do this. Even if you could get it to finish after
hitting your threshold then the entire backup would then be useless, as a
savegroup can only be useful if it completed successfully (This is due to
the way Legato handles savetimes/incrementals/etc).

Finishing the save and then reporting on large savegroups (either by parsing
the savegroup completeion email or using mminfo) would be the only way to do
it.
