Hi,

This issues resulting in Full backup running over a failed incremental
backup 
is a known Microsoft issue according to Legato. 2 Registry settings in
HKey_LOCAL_MACHINE/software/microsoft/Exchange/BackupInformation key
names 
Exchange DS and Exchange MDB database values of the keys are not being
updated 
by Exchange. Only incremental level backup read the values in these keys

when the value has not been updated, or the value does not point to a 
recognized log file this forces a full backup to take place instead of 
a incremental backup. Problem with MS is the Full backup was not
updating 
the value key. 

Check this with MS support (since this was the issue back in 2001
perhaps
latest SP for Exchange is addressing this).

Hi All,

          We have faced a problem during an exchange 5.5 backup while
using the module version 2.005. Although the level of the backup is
specified as incr in the schedule, networker insists on taking a full
backup of IS & DS successfully ! Circular logging is not enabled and the
networker server & client version is 6.1.1. The related error is :
"HrBackupPrepare: unknown error 0 (0x0) A Full backup will be
performed"...

            Any ideas would highly be appreciated...
