Greetings,
We had a TSM instance on a AIX 5.3ML1 server hang because of a
temporary disk problem (powerpath lost a path). We had to kill the
process and restart it. The TSM instance now comes back with:
ANR8208W TCP/IP driver unable to initialize due to error in using port
1505, reason code 67.
ANR8191W HTTP driver unable to initialize due to error in using port
1595, reason code 67.
During its start up. Aside from these messages, the instance comes up
normally. It has been over two hours since it went down, and we just
tried again with the same result. When I look at "netstat -a" it
doesn't report any processes that have these ports open. Will these
ports eventually free up?
I can always fall back on a reboot, but I would prefer not to because
there are multiple TSM instances on this server, and the reboot will be
rather involved. Besides, it seems like there ought to be a way to
clear these ports without rebooting.
Any suggestions?
Best Regards,
John D. Schneider
