But we are getting this error when restoring the public folder

0xc7fe1f42 - Database not found.

Background.

We are trying to restore from EX04 onto EX03 by changing the DSM.OPT file on
EX04\TDP to point to EX03

You need to have Data Protection for Exchange version 5.2.1
in order to back up and restore Exchange 2003.

With Data Protection for Exchange version 5.2.1 you can back up and restore
at the database level. And so, you would restore the Public Folder Store
database in order to restore the public folders appearing within that
database.
