Hi!
I have exparias of Qualstar TLS-8222 (2 LTO Drives and 22 Slots). But that
one was we installing under Windows platform.
But we have done some testing with Linux RedHat 8 before. And hade some few
problems with it.
So when we installing TSM on a RedHat platform are we recommend that you
installing RedHat 7.3 and after that you install TSM and then Upgrade the
kernal to Redhat 8 and the GUI to RedHat 8.
That is the best way.
We have´nt done any testing on RedHat 9. But I think it´s much better.

Hi,
I'm just starting out with TSM. I installed the server on
a redhat 8 system without much hasle and a client on Suse 7.3.
No problems with backups to a disk pool.
For the real stuff: I want to get started with the tape library.
This is a qualstar TLS-8211 with 2 LTO ULTRIUM-TD1 IBM tape drives.
To my amazement, it seems I have to go back to the Redhat 7.3
version and change the kernel version.
Does anybody on the list has experience with installing these
drives and library for TSM under Redhat 8?
Thanks,
Geert
