Hello,
Is your problem reclaimation not kicking off or taking too long for tape to
show up as scratch once the tape has been deleted from the storage pool?
If it's taking too long to show up as scratch, then change Delay Period
for Volume Reuse setting in q stg. I suspect that you have Delay Period
set to 3.. or 2.

I've got a handful of tapes that showing a percent reclaim of
99.9% and a pct utilized of 0.0%. I did a q vol f=d and they show up as
volume status= full, error status of no, and scratch volume of yes.
It's a TSM 5.1 running on WinNT4 sp6a talking to a 3494 library
with two 3590E1A tape drives.
Other tapes are coming back from reclaimation just fine. They
show a pct_util of 0.0% and a pct_relaim of 0.0% and after the three day
hold time they show up as scratch. Any ideas?
