hi ,
please try this option, it might help to suite ur needs. try this command
from aix prompt.
dsmc restore -virtualnodename=nodename <source directory> <target
directory> -subdir=yes

When you run the dsm session. There is an option to change you
login/connection from the menu bar ( FILE / LOGON ). On the server you
want
to restore to login to dsm as the server you want to restore from. From
there on it is the same as usual.
