RSM controls label by own - when you enter new tape into library RSM mount
it and try to recognize label - it is
is unsuccesfull it moves tape into unrecognized media pool - to make tape
usable for any RSM enabled appliaction
you have to move tape into free media pool - RSM ask for confiramation
because now it is going to write free media
label - confirm and you can check Work queue - you should see Mount - Write
free Label - Dismount operations .
After this tape is located in free media pool ( = this is RSM scratch pool )
and TSM server can acquire tape from RSM.
In short - if you can see tape in free media pool - it is correctly labeled
by RSM - after TSM server acquires tape
it writes its own label ( this is very important - TSM label has it's own
DLL - you can find it in registry - if something
goes wrong with registy , RSM or TSM upgrade and you miss this regsitry
entry RSM cannot recognize TSM
labels - this situation is not nervous one ).
If you succesfully move tapes to free media pool try some TSM operation
going to tape - you will see in Work queue
chain of operations TSM action creates in RSM environment.
Hope this help ( sorry for my english ).
