The client node name you use within *SM does not care what the actual system
name is.  So on your test server, you can define the nodename option within
the client options file to be the name of the production server.  Then
simply test your restore.  This effectively has the test system "acting"
like the production system so you want to make sure you don't do any backups
from the test system.

Alternatively, you can grant access to the test node from the production
node and restore that way.  A little more difficult but that works as well.
