Hi Thomas (and Gary)!
I have to disagree on the word "rarely". I have seen a lot of failures
during expiration processing (database deadlocks etc.) in 3.1.2.40. Also,
don't do a "q node" command during a running expire inventory, this will
hang the process and the only way to recover from this is stopping and
starting ADSM.
In your case I would contact IBM and have them install 3.1.2.50. If you use
the SQL interface, have the latest fixtest (I believe it's 3.1.2.55)
installed.
