You can use the preschedulecmd and postschedulecmd within the dsm.opt file.
Take a look at the documentation for complete syntax. I would recommend
running a batch file (or script) that issues the net stop and net start.
Remember that the service might not stop immediately. You will want to hang
around within the batch file until the service is stopped because as soon as
you leave the batch file, the backup will begin.
