It's not a bad idea. NT is a very cost-effective way of running an ADSM
Server, assuming that's the only thing running on it - Very much the key for
any NT Server.

1) Through tests, Average Throughput Tends to top out at 30GB/hour. 20GB is
more reasonable. Migration and Reclaimation can bring this down to under
10GB/hour.
That shouldn't happen too often or config may need to change.

2) Total number of clients is unlimited, but simultaneous can top out @ 50
comfortably.

3) Generic Branding 4-5 PCI slots with PII or PIII CPUs. Not too much
difference with SMP models performance wise.

4) Use UWSCSI at a minimum, very reasonable pricing these days. SSA and
FC-AL arrays are fine too, but SSA isn't always the best option.

Best suggestions for PCs used as ADSM Servers...
