G'day John,

I have noticed when tapes are selected in an automatic library will take a
tape from the slot and doesn't check what tape is currently in the drive.
One way of checking in the tape to a manual library is to do an audit volume
and make sure the mountlimit is set to 1000 or so (set in device class) then
ADSM will have a tape ready for backup. This is a solution but there must be
another way.
I was just testing ADSM when using the manual drive but never used it to do
a backup like you are doing.
The checkin libvolume is only for automated libraries but that is the
command I would use for the manual library to achieve your goal.
