I would just leave the data in the non-collocated pool and start
backing up to the collocated pool. Eventually the data in the
non-collocated pool will expire and things will be collocated. Your
original full backup is probably pretty much collocated anyway. An
alternative is to do export imports.

Subject: Collocation question

Hi all,
Currently we have one big tape pool for our Netware backups. Now we want to
split this pool in two, with collocation turned on for one of the new pools
and turned off for the other. From there, I want the bigger servers to
backup to the collocated pool and the smaller ones to the other pool. My
problem is: how do I split the (non-colocated) data from the one big pool to
2 new ones? As I see it right now I would have to perform the following
steps:
* create a new storage pool with collocation enabled
* move ALL data from the old pool to the new pool. I now have my data sorted
out (1 node per tape)
* by checking the contents of each tape decide if the tape should be moved
back to the old pool
This will be a time consuming operation. Is this the only way, or is there a
simpler one that I can't seem to think of?
Thanks in advance,
Martijn.
