Michael,

We have been experimenting with installing the ADSM client on NT
without rebooting.  We took a "diff" of the box before the client
was installed, then took another diff after the client was installed
and it appeared the only reason a reboot was required was because a
specific DLL needed to be copied over (msvcrt40.dll I think it was
off-hand).  I think IBM is verifying you are running NT SP3 or above
and if you are not it will update that file upon reboot.

So from our initial analysis, as long as you are running SP3 or above
the reboot isn't really a necessary.

If somebody from client development would like to shed some light on
this I would be all ears.
