AIT-2 drives

Has anyone successfully used the new(er) AIT-2 drives with ADSM?
I am using 3.1.2.40 on NT.  I cannot get ADSM to see the drives as
anything other than GENERICTAPE.  I have set the drives to AIT-1
emulation on the front panel; tried jumpers, etc., to no avail.  This
is not a new ADSM server, but it is a new tape library.
