Sean,
a> Download the mentioned file. It will be a file named
iy00039_testfix_tar.Z
b> Move it to a directory in AIX where you have around 15 MB of space.
c> Log in as root. On hash prompt issue following commands:
     # uncompress iy00039_testfix_tar.Z
     # tar xvf iy00039_testfix_tar
     # ls
d> you will find three files:dsmameng.txt,dsmserv,readme.srv
e> read the readme.srv file.
f> cp /usr/lpp/adsmserv/bin/dsmserv /usr/lpp/adsmserv/bin/dsmserv.safe
g> cp /usr/lpp/adsmserv/bin/dsmameng.txt
/usr/lpp/adsmserv/bin/dsmameng.txt.safe
h> copy the "dsmserv" and "dsmameng.txt" files mentioned in step d>
  to /usr/lpp/adsmserv/bin dirwctory.
i> halt dsmserv
j> start dsmserv again.
k> Check the header info as soon as dsmserv starts. You should see the new
version as 3.1.2.25.
