Hi Sabine

I have an AIT drive and it is rated 2.6:1 but I am getting between 1.5:1 and
2.8:1 compression.
The tape volumes indicate full at 38 GB to 71GB and my estimated capacity is
66.5 GB.
I've just multiplied the estimate capacity by percentage utilized to see how
much room I have on the tape. But it still depends on what kind of data you
are backing up.
If it is a mixture of files you have to add a fudge factor.

I hope this helps a little.
