One data point completely different but perhaps representative:
NT Server, Win 95 client V2 and V2:
1.2 GB restore in 1.25 hours. About 11K files. One tape mount. DLT2000
drives. About half of the restore was done from the disk pool. The tape
part of the restore took about the same amount of time as the disk part.
Close and maybe close enough.
