The scheduler-as-service can not prompt for a password.  It depends on
having an encrypted password stored in the proper place.  This is the
'passwordaccess generate' feature which was in some v2 clients and is now in
all v3 clients.  The rules for setting up the encrypted password are that
you must enter it when prompted by a foreground client, either the gui or
the commandline.  That client will store the encrypted password in the
proper place.

So just run the adsm backup gui client.  Enter the password, start a backup,
let it run for a while, do admin queries, walk before you run!  --
