You can't update the prefix for a deviceclass. It has to stay constant or
else you wouldn't be able to mount the tapes already written.
When you define a deviceclass you can set the prefix. It can be multilevel
but no longer than 8 characters, e.g. abc.def is ok. See the manual or 'dsmc
help' for details.
