ADSM Users,

I have been restoring 26GB of data from an AIX server to a SUN 2.5.1 system
since Sunday Afternoon.  It spent around 26 hours examining files and the
process died- no file was restored.  I the process again, but this time
restoring smaller chunks( by directory tree-  someone has to sit at the
station all night to start each manual process).  It is now Wednesday- late
afternoon.   I have talked with ADSM Tech support at length.  There has
been no definite answers to the problem.  IBM tech's came into our facility
and set the system up.  They knew our network and the amount of data needed
to be backed up - so is it normal for this restore to be taking this long?
  I don't think so.  I have several folks wanting to send ADSM back and get
a refund. Has anyone else experienced poor performance problems restoring
to a SUN Enterprise Server?  I am curious.
