Unfortunately, a problem was found with the Version 3 Macintosh client.
While not serious, it can be annoying.
If you're backing up to a Version 2 server, and you select more than one
volume to backup, then a TCP/IP communication error will be generated when
the second volume is backed up. Backing up one volume at a time gets
around this problem. The problem does not occur when using the scheduler
or when backing up to a Version 3 server.
A patch has already been created and is available on the ftp site
(ftp://index.storsys.ibm.com/adsm/fixes/v3r1/mac/ADSM3.1.0.3-%3E3.1.0.3c.hqx).
This updater will update the ADSM Backup application to fix this problem.
For those that like to read APAR descriptions, the APAR number is IC20510.
Cheers,
