FWIW: We're doing 3-4MB/sec on 100MB Ethernet (which I still think is
pretty bad considering the UNIX boxes doing 11MB/sec)...
Make sure you're NIC is *locked* at 100MB - some switches (Catalyst for
instance) acts weird when the NIC is set to auto-detect.
