Subject: using alter table space for Oracle on-line backups



 I am running MVS server at 2.1.9 and wish to backup an Oriacle data base
 at 7.2.3 on line using the alter table spaces command.  The data base is
 running on an hpux at 10.20.  Is anyone doing this and if so can you tell me
 how you do it and how you handle the log files etc.
